Book of the Month
I remember reading this and loving it as a child, and it was probably one of my first introductions into the science fiction genre. It was written for children, and at just over 200 pages it is a quick read, but I enjoyed rereading it even as an adult.
Any book that starts with “It was a dark and stormy night.” makes me want to curl up with a blanket and a hot drink and settle into it, so that’s a good start right there.
